Brake caliper adapter, front axle for Golf MK1 Polo G40 to convert to G60 ATE / Girling 54 brake calipers, combined with the G60 280x22 brake discs.
Suitable for the following models:
- Golf MK1
- Golf MK1 Cabrio
- Caddy 14d
- Jetta 1
- Scirocco 1/2
- Passat
- Polo 1/2
Advantages of this brake system
- no more fading with the G60 brake system.
- thanks to the material certificate supplied with the order, it is possible to register your purchase even for series vehicles
- directly fit to the above-mentioned models and therefore can always be restored to the original state without any problems
- Our EPYTEC brake caliper adapters do not require any sending of your serial parts, no welding, milling or drilling
Required components:
- brake disc: G60 280x22
- brake caliper: G60 ATE / Girling 54
- brake caliper mounting bracket: G60 ( important: it must necessarily be the bracket of the 280 brake, and not of the 256. The 256 are too short)
What is the difference between item number 216 and 142?
The hole dimensions of the two tuning adapters are identical. We recommend always to install the article 216, because it is more stable. The tuning adapter 142 we have developed for the VW Polo axle, since this is slightly different in shape and the tuning adapter 216 can not be installed.

Tips, information and hints:
- For a better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the dust cover plates and brake anchor plates.
- We can generally not answer, which rim size you can mount after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims.
- In rare cases it is possible that the rims touch minimal the brake caliper, then you can simply use spacers.
>> Now directly to spacers << - Install the adapter with the necessary components and then check if new brake lines are required. Because, depending on the vehicle, the lines may be too short or the line tips may not suitable. We advise you to change to steel braided brake line because of the quality and technical advantage.
