Complete conversion kit to hydraulic clutch suitable for:
- VW Golf MK1
- VW Golf MK1 Cabrio
- VW Caddy 14D
- Jetta MK1
- Scirocco
Our conversion kit is needed because Golf MK4 Audi A3 and TT have a hydraulic clutch. If you want to install the engine from Golf MK4 into your Golf MK2, Passat or Corrado, we also recommend to convert directly to hydraulic clutch, so that a perfect engine running can be guaranteed.
The extra advantage is that the original pedals from Golf MK2, MK3, Jetta, Corrado, VW Golf 1, Caddy 14D, Scirocco, etc. can be maintained and you don't need to rebuilt the pedal system. Furthermore, the clutch is much easier to handle than when you convert to cable system.
The master cylinder must be taken over by the Passat 35I or Golf MK2. Reference: 357 721 401
If you convert from the cable you need the slave cylinder with the part number: 1J0721261D
With our adapter, this is very easy and quickly. The adapter is screwed: no drilling , no welding. With the associated hydraulic line and the adapter nipple you don't need to tinker anymore. The conversion is done in no time and you saves a lot of time.
With the expansion tank (including hose) included in the scope of delivery, you can carry out the complete conversion in a short time.
Important: this kit sits in the place where the ventilation pipe normally runs, this unfortunately has to give way due to space.
Tip when rebuilding the clutch:
When installing, pay attention to whether a small fuse box or the complete original wiring harness is installed. With the small fuse box, you can easily perform the conversion. If the original wiring harness is installed, the wiring harness to the dashboard and steering column dashboard and steering column switch goes through the gap where the cylinder is installed. Here you should pay attention that the cables are sufficiently protected from contact. The best way to fix the wiring harness to the body is with cable ties. For this purpose, there are two original holes in the immediate vicinity, which can be used. You can see this on the installation pictures.

Der Artikel ist qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Die Funktion ist einwandfrei und eine deutliche Verbesserung. Leider habe ich keine Bilder zur Position des Ausgleichsbehälters gefunden, dies hätte die Montage vereinfacht. Kann den Umbau nur empfehlen, die Kupplung lässt sich besser dosieren bei weniger Kraftaufwand.
