Engine mounting bracket / support / holder for the conversion of all models VW T2/ T3 bus (also Syncro) to 1,9l TDI (90PS) 1Z engine.
Our engine bracket / holder is designed so that it can be combined with the original engine bracket of the TD. No other support is required! The exhaust pipe bracket can be removed, or, depending on your choice, offset to the side, because adjustments are necessary when mounting the exhaust pipe bracket according to the geometrical specifications of the body.
As shown in the picture, the engine bracket / holder is delivered galvanized, therefore protected against corrosion, and has a very good optics.
Delivery:
- 1X engine mounting bracket / holder for VW T2, T3 bus in order to convert to 1,9l TDI (90PS) engine, with engine classification code 1Z, including exhaust bracket for screwing on.

PS: For the 1.9l TDI AAZ engine we also have suitable brackets article 1209, as well as for the conversion to 1.9l TDI AFN engine, article 909

- Does the Epytec - Engine Mount also fit if a large turbo is retrofitted?
Yes, but depending on the size of the turbo, an adjustment of the bracket is necessary
- Does the Epytec engine mount also fit with the AFN engine?
No, the Epytec engine mount doesn't fit because the attached turbo on the AFN is in the way.
- Do I need a different oil pan and oil pump for this conversion?
The original T3 oil pan can still be used for this conversion. Unfortunately, there is no suitable oil pump available for the conversion, so it has to be modified by oneself.
- Do your engine and transmission mounts fit both left-hand drive and right-hand drive vehicles?
Yes – in most cases, our engine and gearbox mounts fit both left-hand and right-hand drive vehicles equally well. The reason is simple: engine and gearbox are installed in the same position in most vehicles – regardless of whether the car is configured as left-hand drive or right-hand drive. This is exactly what our mounts are designed and intended for.
For you, this means: You can usually use the mounts without additional modifications, and installation proceeds as usual. Especially in conversions or replacement projects, this is a significant advantage because the relevant mounting points in the powertrain area usually remain identical.
In individual cases, it may be advisable for right-hand drive vehicles, due to the immediate environment (e.g., due to vehicle-specific components or slightly different spatial conditions), to make a small adjustment. However, this is the exception – and if at all, it usually involves small, easily feasible adjustments, not extensive changes to the mount.
