Which RAL colors can we not offer for the coating of our brake calipers?

We can paint your brake calipers in almost all common RAL colors. However, an exception is RAL fluorescent colors (neon/fluorescent colors) – we cannot offer these for brake caliper painting.The reason: fluorescent colors work technically different from normal RAL colors (they require special pigments/layer structures) and are significantly more sensitive in the "brake" application area. For a consistently clean, robust surface, we therefore rely on paint structures that have proven themselves in the brake area – and fluorescent RAL is excluded here.We do not offer these RAL fluorescent colors (examples)RAL 1026 Fluorescent YellowRAL 2005 Fluorescent OrangeRAL 2007 Fluorescent Light OrangeRAL 3024 Fluorescent RedRAL 3026 Fluorescent Light RedRAL 6038 Fluorescent GreenTip: If you want a "neon look," we often find a very similar non-fluorescent RAL alternative that is visually close and much more suitable for brake calipers.

My brake caliper is not exactly centered over the brake disc - what should I do?

If your brake caliper is not exactly centered over the brake disc, in most cases it is not a problem. Depending on the vehicle, model year, and mileage, axle tolerances can occur – and this even in newer vehicles.The most important thing is:👉 The brake caliper must have sufficient clearance on the left and right to the brake disc so that nothing rubs or permanently touches it.Many brake calipers also have locking bolts. It may happen that:there is very little clearance on one side or the bolt lightly toucheswhile on the other side there is more playThis is generally not critical.🔧 This is how you proceed:Install brake pads:First check if the brake pads can be inserted cleanly and without resistance on both sides.If everything fits:If installation is possible without problems, you can simply gently push back the locking bolts – this usually resolves the issue.If it jams:If the brake pads cannot be installed, or only with difficulty, on one side, action is required.In this case, you can:slightly shim the adapter with suitable bushings to adjust the brake caliperor – depending on the situation – slightly mill the adapter so that the brake caliper is correctly centered again👉 The goal is always that the brake caliper is evenly aligned with the brake disc and the brake pads are seated freely and cleanly.

What torque should be used to tighten the sealing nipples on the brake caliper?

We recommend tightening the sealing nipples on the brake caliper with 20 Nm.Why is this important?The correct torque ensures a secure seal. A too loose fit can lead to leaks, whereas over-tightening can damage threads or components.Should a torque wrench be used?Yes, for precise and safe installation, we recommend using a torque wrench.Should anything be checked after installation?Yes, the sealing nipple should be checked for tight fit and sealing afterward.

Another advantage of our brake system kit is that it is equipped with the same original brake calipers and brake discs that are also installed in production vehicles. These OE parts not only make replacing the brakes simple and straightforward, but also facilitate TÜV approval.

Important!:

The adapter is only suitable with the cast control arms OE: 8N0 407 151 A.

These are installed as standard in the Golf 4 R32, Audi S3 8L, and Audi TT 8N 1.8T and Quattro models. On all other models of the Golf 4 and Audi A3 series, conversion to this cast control arm is required, otherwise steering lock is no longer possible. Likewise, the anti-roll bar OE: 1J0411305AF must also be converted on vehicles that do not have the cast control arm installed as standard.

We have the matching control arms available as matching accessories and they can be ordered directly at the same time.

The issue with the control arm only affects conversions to Z18 and Z17 brake calipers. With all other adapters that we also offer, such as conversions to 4-piston Porsche Boxster, Audi TTRS or 6-piston Porsche Panamera brake calipers for the Golf 4 Audi A3 series, the adapters are compatible with all control arms.
