Why do you use the Porsche Cayenne brake calipers 955.352.421 / 955.352.422 for this adapter and not the Porsche Panamera brake calipers 970.352.425 / 970.352.426?

For this brake caliper adapter, we deliberately use the Porsche Cayenne brake calipers with the part numbers 955.352.421 / 955.352.422, as our type approval was created precisely for these brake calipers. An additional appraisal for the Panamera brake calipers would be very costly, although the braking performance of the calipers is very similar and the differences are mainly in the appearance.Another point is the construction of the adapter: The Cayenne brake caliper can be adapted much more sensibly and cost-effectively for this application. A significantly stronger base material would be required for the Panamera brake caliper, resulting in more milling effort and making the adapter correspondingly more expensive.Additionally, there is a problem with the Panamera brake calipers concerning the assignment: Under the part numbers 970.352.425 / 970.352.426, different versions are in circulation – once for 330 mm and once for 350 mm brake discs on the rear axle. Even though the part numbers can be the same, the calipers differ in height or in the machined contact surface. This quickly leads to confusion and compatibility issues.For these reasons, we offer this kit exclusively for the specified Porsche Cayenne brake calipers. This keeps the combination technically unambiguous, type-approved, and as uncomplicated as possible for you.

The original brake pads from the brake caliper, which is required for our conversion kit, must always be used.

My brake caliper is not exactly centered over the brake disc - what should I do?

If your brake caliper is not exactly centered over the brake disc, in most cases it is not a problem. Depending on the vehicle, model year, and mileage, axle tolerances can occur – and this even in newer vehicles.The most important thing is:👉 The brake caliper must have sufficient clearance on the left and right to the brake disc so that nothing rubs or permanently touches it.Many brake calipers also have locking bolts. It may happen that:there is very little clearance on one side or the bolt lightly toucheswhile on the other side there is more playThis is generally not critical.🔧 This is how you proceed:Install brake pads:First check if the brake pads can be inserted cleanly and without resistance on both sides.If everything fits:If installation is possible without problems, you can simply gently push back the locking bolts – this usually resolves the issue.If it jams:If the brake pads cannot be installed, or only with difficulty, on one side, action is required.In this case, you can:slightly shim the adapter with suitable bushings to adjust the brake caliperor – depending on the situation – slightly mill the adapter so that the brake caliper is correctly centered again👉 The goal is always that the brake caliper is evenly aligned with the brake disc and the brake pads are seated freely and cleanly.

Brake caliper adapters for converting the rear axle of the Audi TT, VW Tiguan series to Porsche Cayenne brake calipers.

The combination is installed in conjunction with the Audi A6 A7 brake discs 356x22 mm.

The Porsche calipers are connected to the vehicle's hydraulics and can therefore develop enormous braking power. However, since these do not have handbrake functions, the rear Audi TT is additionally used as a handbrake caliper. The hydraulic connection is sealed with a blanking plug. Thus, it serves only as a handbrake caliper.

This set includes a parts certificate for easy registration according to §19.3 StVZO, so that hassle-free approval by TÜV, DEKRA, KÜS or GTÜ is possible.

Installation:

We supply 3 bushings so that the adapter can also be screwed to the mounts for the heat shield. Two of the bushings have a height of 14.5mm and one has 15.3mm. The picture above marks where each one must be installed.
