Tips, information and hints:
- For a better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the dust cover plates and brake anchor plates.
- We can generally not answer, which rim size you can mount after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims.
- In rare cases it is possible that the rims touch minimal the brake caliper, then you can simply use spacers.

Because, depending on the vehicle, the lines may be too short or the line tips may not suitable. We advise you to change to steel braided brake line because of the quality and technical advantage. - Do you need a different holder type than listed here?
If your holder form is not listed, we can, of course, carry out the conversion, but not via the configurator, as these adapters are somewhat more specialized. For more information, click (here)
- What happens if I made a measurement error?
If you should have measured incorrectly, it is not a problem at all, because in the first step you will receive the adapter with your specified dimensions, made of plastic. Thus, in the worst case, the plastic model is wrong, and you have the opportunity to correct the dimensions again without incurring additional costs.

Step by step to the prototype
We have acquired a 3D printer for you and can thus offer prototype construction to private and corporate customers at affordable prices. If you order a custom-made product from us, you even get the prototypes for free.
This approach is perfect for checking the fit and identifying any changes before production. It also enormously speeds up the process since such a model can be created and shipped within a day.
What is needed?
The only thing we need from you is an STL file, a sketch, or a sample to capture it in CAD and create an STL file from it.
If you have ordered via the configurator, we have all the data, and you will receive the plastic sample for testing in the next few days.

If an STL file is provided, we can print the parts starting from 19.95 ?
If a sketch with dimensions is provided and we create an STL file via our CAD software, starting from 59.95 ?
Function description of the 3D printer
Using a heated nozzle, PLA plastic is melted and applied layer by layer until a finished model is created. Afterwards, we (if necessary) provide it with threads. This way, even heavy parts can be adaptively tested. We are still fascinated by how stable the 3D models are and how firmly the screws can be tightened.

In order for us to clearly assign your package, please include a note in the package with your address and email address and pack the parts as stable and well-padded as possible, so nothing gets damaged during shipping.

- What should I consider when selecting the components?
When selecting the components for your brake conversion, it's crucial that the brake caliper, brake disc, and vehicle mounting fit together smoothly. This ensures stress-free assembly and makes future replacements (e.g., new discs) straightforward.
1) Selecting the brake disc to match the brake caliper
An example: You want to install Porsche 996 calipers (originally usually with 318×28 mm discs). These points are crucial:
Bolt pattern / Vehicle mounting
Ensure that the brake disc ideally has the same bolt pattern as your vehicle.
If you drive a 5×100, the disc should also be 5×100 if possible – then you won't have to re-drill the discs with each change.Thickness of the brake disc (very important)
The disc thickness should be as close as possible to the original disc for the caliper. The rule of thumb is:
maximum ± 2 mm deviation from the original disc thickness
Why?
If the disc is too thin, it can be disadvantageous (e.g., pad/caliper position).
If it's too thick, it often won't fit into the caliper or run smoothly.
Diameter of the brake disc
The diameter can be chosen larger depending on the conversion – but everything must fit together (e.g., caliper position via adapter, wheel clearance, etc.).
2) Additional points to keep in mind
Hub bore/centering: The disc must sit correctly centered on your hub (if necessary, using a centering ring).
Wheel clearance: Caliper + disc must fit under the wheel (observe inner contour/offset).
Replaceability & daily use: If possible, choose components so that spare parts are easily available later.

The original brake pads from the brake caliper, which is required for our conversion kit, must always be used.
- Can I use other brake calipers as indicated in the required components?
No, unfortunately that is not possible, the reason being that all brake calipers have different height and depth measurements. If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit the adapter at all or not run centrally to the brake disc. No, unfortunately that is not possible. The reason is simply that all brake calipers have different height and depth measurements. If a different brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit on the adapter at all or would not be centered with the brake disc.
