Steel Brake Line Steel Brake Line Custom Configurator

  • ✓ Desired dimensions
  • ✓ Quickly configurable
  • ✓ Length, color and connections freely selectable

Exclusive and individual: length, color and connections / tips are available according to your choice.

When converting to a better and larger brake system, standard brake lines are usually too short. From us, we offer steel braided brake lines in the length of your choice and the connections / tips of your choice.

Thus, during a conversion of your vehicle, you have the possibility to place the brake lines according to your wishes. The brake lines have not only a better optics, but also a steel sheath that avoids a loss of pressure. Thus, the pressure point during braking can be much better controlled.

Advantages compared to original brake lines:

  • no loss of pressure when braking. Exact pressure point
  • easy assembly. The original line is simply replaced by the braided steel line
  • no swelling as with rubber lines
  • cost savings, because the braided steel lines do not need to be changed every 3 or 5 years
  • shorter braking
  • protection against the rodents
  • material certificate
  • great optic

Die Produkte sind gut aber passen nicht immer zu 100 %

  • How much does the flaring / extrusion cost of a flex steel braided brake line?
  • The flaring / extrusion of the lines costs ? 29.95 per connection + delivery costs

  • How to determine the length?
  • The best way to determine the length of the steel braided brake line is to extend the wheel suspension to its maximum (with a jack or an elevating bridge / platform). The line is not under pressure in this situation. Now take a piece of wire that can be easily bent and hold it next to the fitting/connection. Then you make a loop so that there is no tension. The easiest way to do this is to follow the original line (if it is still installed) and go all the way to the brake caliper.

  • Why is there no ring fitting?
  • We consciously refrain from using ring fittings, as the use of ring fittings in the automotive industry has not been proven successful. The best example is that no automaker uses original ring fittings, but always straight fittings. Ring fittings, on the other hand, are only used in the engine area.

The following points explain why we do not use ring fittings:

    1. Ring fittings require an additional banjo screw. So we need a brass sealing joint at the top and bottom. Unlike direct connections, this can lead to leakage issues. Our direct connections close with sealing thanks to a connection cone. And not just the only surface.
    2. Direct fittings are significantly cheaper as no banjo bolts or additional joints are required.

This photo shows the sealing surface for direct fittings, which are great for vehicles:

With a curved fitting, measurements are always taken towards the center of the hole, straight to the end.

  • Why can't I choose between concave and convex?
  • Our fit rings are so-called hermaphrodites, which means that every connection is suitable for concave (valley) and convex (mountain). So you can't go wrong. All you need to know is whether you have an internal or external thread.

This image shows the sealing surface of the fittings in a concave situation (valley):

  • What is the minimum length of the lines?
  • So that the lines can be pressed, we need a minimum length of 12cm

  • Does the steel braided brake line also fit other vehicles?
  • Yes, the brake line can be used in many other vehicles as well. Since almost all car manufacturers use the same size of thread for brake line fittings. Often the only difference is the concave or convex sealing surface. Our fittings are so-called hermaphrodite, which means that each fitting is suitable, concave (valley) and convex (mountain). All you have to do is measure the length and find out the thread size of the fitting you want for your line. So you can see if the line is suitable. You can find the exact details of the brake line in the product description under the technical data.

  • There were 2 lens seals supplied with the steel faux lines. Where exactly are these installed?
  • the lens seals are always included with the orders. They are used to balance the cone, depending on the cone of the steel tube, see picture attached. With flare F you do not need the lens seals, with flare E they must be placed in the internal threads. The direction, which way around, does not matter.
