Engine mount for conversion of all VW T2/ T3 Bus models (including Syncro) to 1.9l TD, AAZ engines with the engine code letters AAZ.
Our engine mount has been designed so that it can be used in conjunction with the original TD engine mount. This means that no additional brackets are required! The bracket for the exhaust can be removed using screw connections or, if desired, moved, as minor adjustments often have to be made when fitting the exhaust bracket due to tolerances in the bodywork.
We have designed our engine mount so that it can also be installed in conjunction with our conversion to hydromounts.
As can be seen in the photo, the engine mount is supplied galvanised and is therefore optimally protected against rust and looks great.

- Do your engine and transmission mounts fit both left-hand drive and right-hand drive vehicles?
Yes – in most cases, our engine and gearbox mounts fit both left-hand and right-hand drive vehicles equally well. The reason is simple: engine and gearbox are installed in the same position in most vehicles – regardless of whether the car is configured as left-hand drive or right-hand drive. This is exactly what our mounts are designed and intended for.
For you, this means: You can usually use the mounts without additional modifications, and installation proceeds as usual. Especially in conversions or replacement projects, this is a significant advantage because the relevant mounting points in the powertrain area usually remain identical.
In individual cases, it may be advisable for right-hand drive vehicles, due to the immediate environment (e.g., due to vehicle-specific components or slightly different spatial conditions), to make a small adjustment. However, this is the exception – and if at all, it usually involves small, easily feasible adjustments, not extensive changes to the mount.
