Brake caliper adapter, rear axle, on models Golf 2 3 VR6 Syncro for conversion to the Porsche Cayenne brake calipers, combined with the 310x22 mm brake discs from VW Phaeton, rear.
The Porsche calipers are connected to the hydraulics of the vehicle and can thus develop an enormous braking force. However, these do not have handbrake functions. The rear axle of Golf 4 R32 / Audi S3 is additionally used for a handbrake brake caliper adapter. The hydraulic connection is thereby closed with a blind plug / closure cap, thus this serves only as a hand brake caliper.
Suitable for the following VW und Seat models (4WD):
- VW Golf 2 Syncro
- VW Golf 3 Syncro

- brake caliper: Porsche Cayenne, rear axle, reference 955.352.421 + 955.352.422 / Brembo referecne: 20.7673.03
- brake caliper mountin bracker: Audi S3 8L or VW Golf R32, rear axle
- brake disc: 310x22 rear VW Phaeton, referecne: 3D0 615 601 D
- the bolt circle / PCD of the disc have to be modified (service available from EPYTEC)
- the caliper mounting brackets of the hand brake caliper should be slightly filed on the outer edge so that the disc rotates freely

Tips, information and advice:
- To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.

- We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description. - Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines. - The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel

No, unfortunately that is not possible. The reason is simply: all brake calipers have different heights and depths. If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit on the adapter or not run in the middle of the brake disc. But if you want to install a different brake caliper, we also have an option for you.
