Preparation:

First, the old rims and tires must be removed from your vehicle. It is easiest if you proceed as described in the vehicle manual (changing wheels). As soon as you have dismantled the rims and the edges, you can start preparing for mounting the bolt circle adapters.

The first thing you need to do is remove the rust from the wheel hubs, it is advisable to use a simple wire brush to do this.

The rim must also be freed from dirt and small bumps. Sandpaper is best for this.

Important !!

Both surfaces must be degreased with a cleaning agent. A brake cleaner or, as in our case, a less aggressive universal cleaner is best suited for this. No agents containing oil or silicone may be used, as these are not recommended for the brake discs and rims under heat.

Now you can test whether the bolt circle adapter sits cleanly on both the wheel hub and the rims. It must lie flat and must not have any play in the centering!

Furthermore, there must be no gap. The plates must be attachable without much pressure and the centering must be accurate.

Now it is recommended to grease the bolt circle adapter. We use a copper paste here. This is suitable for high temperatures and is therefore ideal for removing the plates cleanly, even after a long drive.

Installation:

Epytec bolt circle adapter put on the brake disc and fix them with the supplied screws. Here it is important to check that the screws are long enough and completely fill out the threads of the wheel hub on your car.

We deliberately do not supply wheel bolts, since different lengths and types are required depending on the rim manufacturer. There are rims e.g. with:

conical wheel studs
round wheel studs
flat wheel studs

Please contact the rim manufacturer here to find out which wheel bolts are the right ones for your rims. Make sure that these protrude at least 15mm from the rear of the rim. Check this by putting the wheel bolts through the rim before assembly and measuring them accordingly.

The correct torque must be observed for the final assembly. Please refer to the car manufacturer's information and tighten the rims with the correct torque.
