Audi 85 Urquattro tuning brake conversion to the Porsche 997 C4S / C2 / 996 Turbo / 996 C4S brake calipers with the Mercedes GLA 320x30
The customer's request / problem:
Our customer Markus would like to install the following components on the front axle of his Audi 85 Urquattro:
- Porsche 997 C4S / C2 / 996 Turbo / 996 C4S (part no. 996.351.429 / 430)
- Brake disc Mercedes GLA 320x30 (A 246 421 27 12)
Our realisation / solution:
- Our customer Markus ordered via our brake caliper configurator. In the configurator you will find out how to get your custom-made caliper step by step.
- Based on the entered measurements, a prototype is created with our 3D printer. This saves Markus the money for a CAD drawing.
- Our configurator always shows you the current price and delivery time for your brake caliper adapter.
- You will receive a matching material certificate for every custom-made product via our configurator.
3-D Prototyping
The final prototype is sent to Markus in advance so that everything can be tested for a perfect fit and the brake system fits the Audi Urquattro 85. Markus also informed us that 1-2 small changes have to be made to the tuning adapter so that everything fits 100%.
Production
After Markus' approval, we now machine the brake tuning adapter for the Audi Urquattro to fit exactly. Afterwards, it is sent to the surface refiner.
