Brake caliper adapter on rear axle for conversion to rear brake caliper of Porsche 996, combined with the 280 mm VR6 front brake discs.
The Porsche calipers are connected to the hydraulics of the vehicle and can thus develop an enormous braking force. Since these have no handbrake functions, the rear Audi S3 or Golf MK4 R32 is also used as a hand brake caliper adapter. The hydraulic connection is thereby closed with a blind plug / closure cap, thus this serves only as a hand brake caliper.
Suitable for the following vehicles:
- Ibiza 6L
- Polo 9N
- Audi A1
Advantages of this brake system:

Technics:
The Porsche calipers are mounted between the axle beam and the axle stub. The necessary screws are supplied. The track is wider by about 16 mm per side.
Not permitted under the STVO (German Road Licensing Law). However, thanks to the material certificate supplied with the order, it is possible to register your purchase even for series vehicles. For the rear axle, we offer brake adapters for conversion to the Porsche brake system, combined with the R32 brake discs. Visit our shop.
For vehicles equipped with ABS, the ABS can be used.

- brake caliper mounting bracket: VW reference 8N0 615 425 B or painted in blue from the R32: 1J0 615 425 F
- brake disc: VR6 GTI 16V 280mm with cup depth 28.5mm VAG-reference: 1H0615301 and VAG-reference 1H0615301A

Tips, information and advice:
- To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
- For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>go directly to the article here<<
- We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description. - Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines. - The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel
