Customised bolt circle adapter for the Tuatara 1500E - Successfully tested & TÜV approved
1. Introduction & aim of the conversion
Our customer Felix had a clear plan: His Tuatara 1500E, an off-road electric utility vehicle, was to be fitted with new rims - but the original bolt circle did not match the desired rim selection. The solution: a customised bolt circle adapter, manufactured precisely for the special requirements of his vehicle.
The aim of the conversion was to realise a stable, approved wheel spacer suitable for everyday use both off-road and on the road - without compromising on safety or functionality.
2. Technical details of the upgrade
Felix used our tried-and-tested bolt circle adapter configurator to define the adapters precisely to his requirements. Important parameters such as:

Original bolt circle (e.g. 4x100 or 5x112)

Target bolt circle for the new rims

Thickness of the adapter (for the desired track widening)

Centring and centre bore
were entered directly in the configurator. This resulted in a customised special design that perfectly matched the axle geometry and rims of the Tuatara 1500E.
The result: a set of high-strength bolt circle adapters, made from high-strength aluminium, with precise CNC manufacturing - naturally with a suitable technical report for TÜV approval.
3. Realisation: Option 1 - custom-made via our configurator
Our customer Felix used our bolt circle adapter configurator to enter the exact dimensions for his conversion. This saved Felix the money for a complex CAD drawing, as this was created directly via the configurator.
In the configurator, he was able to see the current price and delivery time for his customised product in real time. As with every customised product using our bolt circle configurator, Felix received a suitable technical report, which was later also used for the successful TÜV approval.

The installation of the bolt circle adapters went absolutely smoothly thanks to the perfect fit. The rims centred themselves cleanly via the centre centring, the bolt lengths were optimally adjusted - no reworking necessary.
5. Driving behaviour & test results
After the conversion, Felix was able to test the vehicle extensively off-road and in everyday use. The verdict was consistently positive:

6. TÜV & Authorisation
The manufactured bolt circle adapters were successfully demonstrated and approved with the technical report for Epytec wheel spacers and bolt circle adapters in accordance with the specifications of TÜV SÜD. This technical report confirms the fundamental suitability of Epytec adapters in terms of strength, material quality and safety-relevant requirements.
The responsible inspector certified the perfect fit and workmanship of the adapters on Felix's Tuatara 1500E as part of the individual acceptance test. The combination of the material certificate and the official technical report (document number see: Epytec technical report - PDF) means that the customised product can be registered with the TÜV without any problems.
