Installation instructions article No.1019 conversion to the hydraulic clutch in the VW Golf 3 and VW Jetta
Here you can see the complete scope of delivery, which you get to convert to the hydraulic clutch on the VW Golf 3 and VW Jetta.
!! Important!!
the pedals do not have to be removed in order to mount the tuning adapter.
!!! Attention!!!
The pedals are available in two different versions. One with straight mounting holes and one with offset mounting holes. Our adapters can only be used with the version with the straight mounting holes.
If you need a new clutch master cylinder, which is definitely the case with this conversion, this is exactly the right one (click here) for this conversion to the hydraulic clutch
First, the Epytec tuning adapter is attached to the clutch master cylinder with the supplied screws. Simply pull the adapter over the cylinder and screw it on.
Then you can attach the Epytec tuning adapter to the pedals. In the following pictures we have illustrated the whole thing for you
Finally, you need to make sure that the small piece of plastic is firmly seated in the pedal. The piece of plastic needs to be pressed into the pedal. The easiest way is to use a small screwdriver.
Once the piece of plastic has snapped into place, you still need to bleed the clutch to ensure perfect use. It cannot be bled when it is installed, since the air in the master cylinder moves up to the front and "stands still" there. However, the air has to move upwards to the rear so that the reservoir does what it is intended for. In order to bleed the system perfectly, it is best to remove the cylinder on the gearbox and press it down 10-20 times from above in conjunction with a vacuum tool.
