Brake caliper adapter, rear axle on all T3 bus models for conversion combined with the Porsche brake calipers. In addition, a handbrake caliper and handbrake cable from the Golf 4 R32 must be installed.
The adapters are made of high-strength steel and completely galvanized.
The Porsche calipers are connected to the vehicle's hydraulics and can therefore develop enormous braking power. However, since these do not have a handbrake function, the rear Audi S3 or Golf 4 R32 is also used as a handbrake caliper adapter. The hydraulic connection is sealed with a blind plug. Thus, this only serves as a handbrake caliper.
On the T3 BUS with ABS, the holders have to be adjusted a little. The fact that the wheel bearing housing has 2 small bulges on the right and left prevents the adapter from being fully seated. To do this, 2 small bevels can simply be sanded. Then the adapter fits perfectly and the distances between the brake caliper and disc fit
The adapter is mounted in such a way that the Porsche brake caliper sits towards the front axle and the handbrake caliper towards the rear axle.
Advantages:
- top deceleration
- the system no longer warms up and no mor
- thanks to the material certificate supplied with the order, it is possible to register your purchase
- quick and easy assembly with the supplied mounting screws
For rear discs, the hubs must be modified.(even the ones we have in the range have to be turned off a bit)

Tips, information and advice:
- To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
- For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>go directly to the article here<<
- We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description. If your rim does not fit, you can simply use wheel spacers. >> Go directly to customised wheel spacers <<
- Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines. We have developed a steel braided line configurator especially for this function, which you can use to assemble and then install them according to your requirements. Click here for the steel flex configurator >> Configure steel flex brake line <<
- The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel
Please note that our articles have been designed for racing and motorsport. Use in public road traffic usually requires an individual approval in accordance with § 21 StVZO by an officially recognised expert. Further information can be found under TÜV Süd. For the individual approval, we will provide you with an expert opinion or material certificate, if available.

- Can I also use other brake discs as specified in the required components?
No, unfortunately that is not possible. The reason is simply: all brake calipers have different heights and depths. If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit on the adapter or not run in the middle of the brake disc. But if you want to install a different brake caliper, we also have an option for you. You can have a custom-made product made for you, take a look at the following link for more information: https://epytec.de/uk/custom-made-products/brake-technology/adapters-for-brake-systems
