Brake caliper adapter, rear axle, on models VW T5 and T6 transporter, for conversion to the brake discs 356x22 Audi A6, combined witht the original brake calipers.

Suitable for following vehicles:

Required components:
- brake disc: Audi A6 356x22mm , reference 4H0 615 601 F
- for the brake discs, the bolt / pitch circle must be changed to 5x120 and the hub bore to 76.0mm (we can do this for by us)
- Brake calipers from the VW T5 T6 Bus part number: 7H0 615 423 / 7H0 615 424
- Brake caliper carrier from the VW T5 T6 Bus part number: 7H0 615 425
- we recommend using the brake caliper mounting bracket from TRW. With the original it may be that these have to be adjusted slightly (remove approx. 0.5-1mm from the mounting surface) Part number TRW: BDA585

Tips, information and advice:
- To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
- For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>go directly to the article here<<
- We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description. - Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines. We have developed a steel braided line configurator especially for this function, which you can use to assemble and then install them according to your requirements. - The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel

- Which brake pads should be used?
The original brake pads from the brake caliper, which is required for our conversion kit, must always be used.
- Can I use other brake calipers as indicated in the required components?
No, unfortunately that is not possible, the reason being that all brake calipers have different height and depth measurements. If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit the adapter at all or not run centrally to the brake disc. If you want to install a different brake caliper, we also have an option for you. You can have a custom-made product manufactured, check out the following link for more information:
- Can I also use other discs as specified in the required components?
No, unfortunately that is not possible. The reason is simply that all brake calipers have different height and depth measurements.
