VW Fox conversion (yoc 1979) to the Porsche Boxter brake with the VW Golf 2 G60 280x22mm brake disk
The customer's wish / problem:
Our customer Sven would like to install a new brake system with these components on the front axle of his 1979 VW Fox:
- VW Golf 2 G60 280x22mm brake disc, part no.: 535615301
- Porsche Boxter brake caliper, part no.: 996.352.421 / 996.352.422
Our conversion / solution:
Sven sent us the following components to adapt the following brake system on the front axle:
- Porsche Boxter brake caliper, part no.: 996.352.421 / 996.352.422
- VW Golf 2 G60 280x22mm brake disc, part no.: 535615301
We have assembled Sven's desired components once to measure the required tuning adapter in order to be able to make a 3D model.
3-D Prototyping
The final prototype is tested directly in our workshop to see if it fits with the brake system on the 1979 VW Fox.
We always work with a 3D-model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits.
Production
After Sven's approval, we now machine the brake tuning adapter for the 1979 VW Fox to a precise fit. It is then taken to the surface refiner.
Installation and test
The tuning adapter has now arrived at the surface refiner and we were able to test fit everything and deliver a great brake system to our customer.
