Hyundai i30 brake conversion to the AP Racing 5000 R brake system with a 330x32mm friction ring and individual brake pots / brake disc pots
The customer's request / problem:
Our customer Robert would like to install the following brake system with these components on his Hyundai i30, for the 24h race at the Nürburgring, on his front axle:
- AP Racing Pro 5000 R brake system, part no.: CP9660
- friction ring 330x32mm
An individual brake pot/brake disc pot, including tuning adapter, must be manufactured.

Our customer Robert sent us the brake system, friction rings and the rim, and we plugged the components together once to determine the required tuning adapter and brake disc pot.

3-D Prototyping
The final prototype is tested directly in our workshop to see if it fits the brake system on the Hyundai i30.
We always work with a 3D-model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model we can be sure that everything fits.
Production
After Robert's approval, we mill the brake tuning adapter for the Hyundai i30 to a precise fit. Afterwards it is driven to the surface refiner.
Installation and Test
The brake tuning adapter has now arrived from the surface tuner and we were able to test fit everything and deliver a great brake system to our customer.
