Brake caliper tuning adapter for the Porsche 911 G model (yoc 86) to adapt the Porsche Boxter 996 brake system
The customer's request / problem:
Our customer Thomas would like to install the following brake system with these components on his Porsche 911 G model (yoc 1986) on his front axle:
- Porsche 996 brake disc 319x28 mm
- Porsche brake caliper from 996er Porsche original part no.: 996.351.425/426
Our realisation / solution:
Thomas sent us a sample, which we were able to transfer into our CAD program.
3-D Prototyping
The finished prototype is sent to Thomas in advance, so that he can test everything to make sure that it fits perfectly and that the brake system fits. Thomas also told us that 1-2 small changes have to be made to the tuning adapter so that everything fits 100%.
We always work with a 3D model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits
Production
After approval from Thomas, we now machine the tuning adapter for the Porsche 911 (G-model) exactly. Then it's taken to the surface refiner.
Installation and Test
The brake caliper tuning adapter has returned to us from the surface refiner and was sent directly to Thomas.
