Audi S2 brake conversion to the Audi A4 B8 320x30mm brake disc with the Audi RS2 4-piston caliper
The customer request / problem:
Our customer Malte has originally installed the Audi RS2 adapters with the large Brembo brake system and the 323mm Audi S8 brake discs on his Audi S2. However, he has the problem that the hub mount of the rally wishbones collides with his brake disc.
Therefore, Malte would like to convert his Audi S2 to the following components:
- Audi A4 B8 320x30 brake disc part no.: 8R0 615 301
- Audi RS2 4-Kolben brake callipers part no.: 8A0 615 106 k
Our conversion / solution:
Our customer Malte sent us the original RS2 adapter, we then created a 3D model according to the changes.
3-D Prototyping
The final prototype is sent to Malte in advance so that it can be tested whether everything fits exactly and the brake system of the Audi RS2 fits with the Audi A4 brake discs. Malte also told us that 1-2 small changes have to be made to the tuning adapter so that everything fits 100%.
We always work with a 3D model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits
Production
After approval from Malte, we now machine the tuning adapter for the Audi RS2 exactly. Then it's taken to the surface refiner.
Installation and Test
The brake caliper tuning adapter has returned to us from the surface refiner and was sent directly to Malte.
