Here you will find out how to mount the accelerator pedal of the VW Golf 7 to the original pedal set from VW Golf 2 step by step.
Preparation:
he only thing you need is :
- Screwdriver slot
- Ratchet with 10mm nut
- 10mm open-end spanner
The conversion time is approx.10min
With our adapter, it's quick and easy. Attach the adapter to the original brackets in the car and then screw the accelerator pedal of the donor vehicle to our adapter, then connect everything and the throttle runs perfectly tuned, just like in the donor vehicle.
The brake and clutch pedal remain untouched.
Installation:
The original accelerator pedal from VW Golf 2 is mounted by means of a bolt, this bolt must be removed so that the accelerator pedal can be removed.
The clip is located on the left side of the accelerator pedal. The clip is easily removed with a slotted screwdriver by bending the lower clip over the bolt and then removing it upwards.
The bolt of the accelerator pedal can then be pulled out.
Now the Epytec accelerator pedal adapter is used to mount the accelerator pedal of the VW Golf 7. This is mounted as follows:
The tube that is welded to the adapter is placed on the original bracket and the original bolt is pushed through again.
Then mount the clip in the same way as it was dismantled.
Then the supplied M6 bolt is inserted from above through the hole that is already in the pedal arm and screwed on with the washer and the self-locking M6 nut.
Now you only have to mount the VW Golf 7 accelerator pedal with the OE part number: 5Q1 723 503H on the adapter. Simply insert it from above under the lug on the adapter and fix the supplied M6 screw at the bottom left of the accelerator pedal.
This is how the whole thing looks when mounted on the pedals of the VW Golf 2.
