Installation instruction for article no. 448 VW Golf 3 Vento to convert to Golf 7 electronic accelerator pedal.
Here you can find out how to install the electronic accelerator pedal from the VW Golf 7 in the VW Golf 3 step by step.
Preparation:
The only thing you need is :
- Screwdriver slot
- Ratchet with 10 mm nut
- Hexagon socket spanner (6 mm)
- Medium strength threadlocker
- Conversion time approx. 10min
With our adapter it is very easy and fast. Attach the adapter to the original brackets in the car and then screw the accelerator pedal of the donor car to our adapter. Then connect everything and the throttle runs perfectly tuned as in the donor car.
The brake and clutch pedals remain untouched.
Installation:
The original accelerator pedal of the VW Golf 3 is mounted by using a bolt. This bolt must be removed so that the accelerator pedal can be removed.
The clip is located on the right side of the accelerator pedal. It is easily removed with a flathead screwdriver by bending the lower clip over the bolt and then removing it upwards.
The bolt can then be pulled out.
Now the Epytec accelerator pedal adapter is beeing used. It is mounted as follows:
All three M8 screws must be provided with threadlocker (ideal = medium strength).
On the left side, where the bolt was located before, there are two holes, here the Epytec accelerator pedal adapter is fixed by means of the M8 screws.
Another M8 screw is fitted in the opposite hole on the right where the bolt and the clip were attached.
Now you only have to mount the VW Golf 7 accelerator pedal with the OE part number: 5Q1 723 503H on the Epytec accelerator pedal adapter. Simply insert the accelerator pedal into the existing flap under the adapter.
Fix the supplied M6 screw at the bottom left of the accelerator pedal.
