Installation instructions for all bolt circle adapter with the system D = bolt circle adapter with eccentric

Here you will find step-by-step instructions on how to fit Epytec bolt circle adapters with System D = bolt circle adapter with eccentric to your vehicle.

Preparation:

First, the old rims and tyres must be removed from your car. The easiest way to do this is to follow the procedure described in the vehicle manual (wheel change). Once you have removed the rims and tyres, you can start preparing for the installation of the bolt circle adapters.

First, remove the rust from the wheel hubs using a simple wire brush.

The rim must also be cleaned of dirt and small irregularities. Sandpaper is best for this purpose.

Important!!

Both surfaces must be degreased with a cleaning agent. A brake cleaner or, as in our case, a not so aggressive universal cleaner is best suited for this. Do not use any agents containing oil or silicone, as these are not recommended for brake discs and rims under heat.

Now you can test whether the bolt circle adapter sits properly on both the wheel hub and the rims. It must lie flat and must not have any play at the centring point!

Furthermore, there must be no gap. The plates must be able to be fitted without much pressure and the centring must be accurate.

Now it is recommended to grease the bolt circle adapters. We use a copper paste here. This is suitable for high temperatures and is therefore ideal for removing the plates again without any problems, even after a long period of driving.

Installation:

Place the Epytec bolt circle adapter on the brake disc and mount it with the screws supplied. Make sure that the bolts are long enough and fill the threads of the wheel hub on your vehicle.

With the bolt circle adapter system D, we supply an eccentric, as the bolt circles overlap at one hole. This eccentric is thinner than the bolt circle adapter so that it can be neatly aligned, i.e. it can be twisted so that the hole for the rim mounting can be turned to the rim bolt circle.

Important!!

Please make sure that the eccentric does not protrude higher than the bolt circle adapter's thickness. The eccentric only has to be positioned, it does not have to be screwed on tightly, but must sit under the plate. The wheel bolt that will later be inserted into the plate makes it impossible to turn the eccentric.

We deliberately do not supply wheel bolts, as different lengths and types are required depending on the rim manufacturer. There are rims with e.g.:

conical wheel studs
round wheel studs
flat wheel studs

Please contact the rim manufacturer to find out which wheel bolts are the right ones for your rims. Make sure that they protrude at least 15mm from the back of the rim. Check this by inserting the wheel bolts through the rim before installation and measuring them accordingly.

For the final assembly, the correct torque must be observed, please refer to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications and tighten the rims with the correct torque.
