Brake caliper adapter, rear, on models Golf MK5 MK6 Audi A3 (series with steel axle) for conversion to the Porsche Cayenne brake calipers , combined with the Audi RS7 brake discs 356x22 mm.
The Porsche calipers are connected to the hydraulics of the vehicle and can thus develop an enormous braking force. However, these do not have handbrake functions. The rear floated caliper of Audi R8 is additionally used as handbrake brake caliper adapter. The hydraulic connection is thereby closed with a blind plug / closure cap, thus this serves only as a hand brake caliper.

Tipps, Infos und Hinweise:
- Bedingt durch die Postion des Bremssattels kommt der ABS Sensor in den Weg. Dieser muss entweder mit einer neuen Steckverbindung versehen oder direkt verlötet werden. Leider ist durch die bauartbedint, durch die Achse, eine andere Position des Bremssattels nicht möglich.
- Zur besseren Belüftung der Bremsanlage empfehlen wir die Ankerbleche/Bremsstaubbleche zu entfernen.
- Welche Felgengröße du nach deinem Bremsenumbau fahren kannst, können wir pauschal nicht beantworten. Es gibt einfach zu viele unterschiedliche Felgen. Es kann in seltenen Fällen vorkommen, dass die Felgen am Bremssattel minimal anliegt, dann können einfach Spurverbreiterungen verwendet werden.
>> Jetzt direkt zu Spurverbreiterungen nach Wunsch << - Den Adapter mit den benötigten Komponenten zu verbauen um anschließend zu Prüfen ob ggf. neue Bremsleitungen benötigt werden, da es je nach Modell sein kann das die alten nicht lang genug sind, oder vom Anschluss her nicht passen. Wir empfehlen durch den deutlich besseren Wirkungsgrad auf Stahlflexleitugen zu wechseln, eigens für diese Funktionsweise haben wir dafür einen Stahlflexkonfigurator entwickelt, indem du diese nach deinen Wünschen zusammenstellen und anschließend verlegen kannst.

Bei Umbauten in dem der Original Sattel weiterverwendet wird und das Original Handbremsseil verwendet werden kann, kann es sein, dass du es auf direkterem Weg verlegen musst um den größeren Scheibendurchmesser und den Längeren weg auszugleichen

Die Passgenauigkeit ist 100% Material und Verarbeitung 100% Preis ist überschaubar und nicht übertrieben! I will do this review in two parts, as I have not yet installed the adaptor onto my mk5 Golf R32 . I was recommended this product by a friend who also had an R32 and was keen to do a rear brake upgrade. The ordering process was very easy and about a week later the kit arrived . My first impression, upon opening the box was of the quality of the adaptor bracket. Extremely well machined and very nicely finished . The handbrake calliper adaptor is equally well finished and the kit comes complete with all the bolts (HT allen bolts , well done Epytec) , spacers and even the spigot rings to allow the suggested Audi RS7 rear discs to fit on the VW hubs. Very nice attention to detail . I have not even offered up the adaptor to the hub, but I have trial fitted the Brembo 4 pot caliper and it fitted perfectly , so I expect the adaptor to fit the hub with equal ease . As for choice, I have bought from Epytec before so had an understanding of both their service and their quality, so had no hesitation in buying again . The only reservation would be the weight of the adaptor kit. Epytec have fabricated in steel, and I fully understand why. The total increase in unsprung weight , given the extra calliper, the heavier disc and the adaptor might be enough to put off the very serious track day enthusiast but for normal spirited road use, the increase in braking effort and confidence is worth the weight penalty . I imagine that a kg or so may have been saved by using aluminium but with a compromise in strengh. thread integrity and therefore safety, So, first impressions are extremely good, but i expected no less. Cracking company . Wish they made a bespoke two piece rotor for this upgrade !

If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit on the adapter or not run in the middle of the brake disc.
