Brake caliper adapter, front axle, to install the 280mm G60 brake discs, combined with the 4-pistons Porsche Boxter 986er brake caliper.
Specially developed to be able to continue using 15-inch rims!

Advantages of this brake system:

- thanks to the material certificate supplied with the order, it is possible to register your purchase even for series vehicles.
- directly fit to the above-mentioned models and therefore can always be restored to the original state without any problems
- Our EPYTEC brake caliper adapters do not require any sending of your serial parts, no welding, milling or drilling.
We recommend the brake pads of the Porsche rear calipers, reference 996.352.421. These fit perfectly into the calipers and are perfect for the 280er brake discs! This allows the pads to fit perfectly to the 280 disc without any modification!
Required components:
- brake caliper: 986er Porsche Boxter, reference 986.351.421 / 422
- brake disc: VW Golf MK2/MK3 G60, 280x22, reference 6KL 615 301 (only 100% fitting to the specified Porsche calipers)
- brake pads: from the rear calipers, 996.352.421 (these are smaller and look like the G60 brake pad surface)
Delivery:
- 2x brake caliper adapters for VW Golf 1MK Caddy Scirocco , conversion to Porsche brake system
- 4x screws (10.9)
- 1x material certificate
The corresponding rear axle adapters for the conversion to 280er internally vented brake discs in combination with S3 brake calipers can be found in our shop.
Tips, information and advice:
- To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
- For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>go directly to the article here<<
- We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description. - Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines. - The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel

Für meinen Umbau einfach das passende Produkt, hält was es verspricht und beim TÜV war die Abnahme kein Problem. Die Qualität des Halters und Passgenauigkeit zum Bremssattel war auch sehr gut! Klare Kaufempfehlung wer sowas vor hat. MfG Alex

No, unfortunately that is not possible, the reason being that all brake calipers have different height and depth measurements. If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit the adapter at all or not run centrally to the brake disc. If you want to install a different brake caliper, we also have an option for you. You can have a custom-made product manufactured, check out the following link for more information:

My brake caliper is not exactly centered over the brake disc - what should I do?
If your brake caliper is not exactly centered over the brake disc, in most cases it is not a problem. Depending on the vehicle, model year, and mileage, axle tolerances can occur – and this even in newer vehicles.
The most important thing is:
👉 The brake caliper must have sufficient clearance on the left and right to the brake disc so that nothing rubs or permanently touches it.Many brake calipers also have locking bolts. It may happen that:
there is very little clearance on one side or the bolt lightly touches
while on the other side there is more play
This is generally not critical.
🔧 This is how you proceed:
Install brake pads:
First check if the brake pads can be inserted cleanly and without resistance on both sides.If everything fits:
If installation is possible without problems, you can simply gently push back the locking bolts – this usually resolves the issue.If it jams:
If the brake pads cannot be installed, or only with difficulty, on one side, action is required.In this case, you can:
slightly shim the adapter with suitable bushings to adjust the brake caliper
or – depending on the situation – slightly mill the adapter so that the brake caliper is correctly centered again
👉 The goal is always that the brake caliper is evenly aligned with the brake disc and the brake pads are seated freely and cleanly.
