Full adaptation/fixation kit for ventilated 16V brake system (calipers and discs)coming originally from Kadett E Calibra Vectra A Astra GSI /16V C20XE for installation on front axle of the following cars:
- Kadett C Limo Coupe and City
- Manta B
- Ascona B
Advantages:
- Best possible deceleration values and performance, also indispensable for performance increases
- Centering and screws for GSi brake disc available
- Internally ventilated brake discs, no more overheating and fading.
- 14 inch rims can be driven
- Components come from series production by Opel and are easy to obtain
- If installed correctly, registration with the TÜV is possible.
Our adaptation plates need to be installed between the original fixation of the brake disc an the brake disc on the wheel hub.This allows to maintain the width of the wheel lane.There is a centering for the GSI brake disc on the adapters.
Rectifications needed for the execution of the conversion:
- a steering stopper needs to be installed.
- the centering of the brake disc needs to be modified 70,1 mm on the mesure of our adapter plate (also made by EPYTEC)
Scope of delivery:
- 2x adapter plates completely galvanized
- 8x high-strength screws to mount the brake disc, these must be shortened so that the full thread of the wheel hub can be used
- material certificate
For the rear axle brake system on we suggest a conversion set from our shop.
Tips, information and hints:
- For a better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the dust cover plates and brake anchor plates.
- We can not answer generally, which rim size you can mount after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims.
- In rare cases it is possible that the rims touch minimal the brake caliper, then you can simply use spacers.
>> Now directly to spacers << - Install the adapter with the necessary components and then check if new brake lines are required. Because, depending on the vehicle, the lines may be too short or the line tips may not suitable. We advise you to change to steel braided brake line because of the quality and technical advantage. Specifically for this, we have developed an online brake line configurator, where you can assemble the type of steel braided brake lines you want.
Click here to go to the >> configure steel braided brake lines << - Always use the hand brake cable of the installed brake caliper. So sometimes you have to modify / adapt the new handbrake cable. For conversions, where the original caliper is used and the handbrake cable can be used, you may need to pull the cable without any other fittings (ie directly) to compensate for the long distance due to the large diameter of the large brake discs.

- Which brake pads should be used?
The original brake pads from the brake caliper, which is required for our conversion kit, must always be used.
- Can I use other brake calipers as indicated in the required components?
No, unfortunately that is not possible, the reason being that all brake calipers have different height and depth measurements. If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit the adapter at all or not run centrally to the brake disc. If you want to install a different brake caliper, we also have an option for you. You can have a custom-made product manufactured, check out the following link for more information:
