VW Polo 86C G40 Tuning brake conversion to the VW Golf 5 GTI brake callipers with the Opel Vectra B i500 308x25mm special brake disc
The customer's request / problem:
Our customer Frank would like to install the following brake system with these components on his VW Polo 86C G40:
- VW Golf 5 GTI Brake caliper part no.: 1K0.615.123.E and 1K0.615.124E
- Brake pads part no.: 5K0.698.151
- Special btake disc from Opel Vectra B i500 ATE number: 24.0125-0142.1
Our conversion / solution:
- Solution by modifying an adapter from our range
- Frank started his request based on the adapter 240 (suitable for the Golf 1, Caddy 14d, Jetta, Scirocco with larger brake disc).
- For this purpose, Frank sent us a hand sketch of how the existing adapter has to be modified
3-D Prototyping
The final 3-D prototype is sent to Frank in advance so that it can be tested whether everything fits exactly and the brake system of the VW Golf 5 GTI fits.
Frank also told us that 1-2 small changes have to be made to the tuning adapter so that everything fits 100%.
We always work with a 3D model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits.
