VW T4 brake upgrade to the Akebono 6-piston fixed caliper with the 350x34mm brake disc from the Audi S4
The customer's request / problem:
Our customer Rolf would like to install the following components on the front axle of his 1999 VW T4
- Akebono 6-piston fixed caliper from the Audi B9 S4 model part no.: 8W0615108F
- Brake disc from S4 350x34mm part no.: 4M0615301AN / 4M0 615 301 AN
Our realisation / solution:
- Our customer Rolf ordered via our brake caliper configurator. Here you can find out how to get your custom-made caliper step by step.
- Based on the entered measurements, a prototype is created with our 3D printer. This saves Rolf the money for a CAD drawing.
- In our configurator you can always see the current price and delivery time for your brake caliper adapter.
- You will receive a matching material certificate for every custom-made product via our configurator.
3-D Prototyping
The final prototype is sent to Rolf in advance so that we can test whether everything fits perfectly and whether the brake system fits on the VW T4.
Rolf also told us that 1-2 small changes have to be made to the tuning adapter so that everything fits 100%.
We always work with a 3D model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits.
Production
After Rolf's approval, we now machine the brake tuning adapter for the VW T4 to a precise fit. Then we sent to the surface refiner.
Installation and Test
The brake tuning adapter has returned to us from the surface refiner and was sent directly to Rolf.
