VW Golf III GTI 16V conversion to the 4-piston AP Racing brake calipers with 295x28mm brake discs
The customer's request / problem:
Our customer Christian would like to install the following brake system with these components on his VW Golf III GTI 16V front axle:
- AP-Racing brake disc 295x28mm, part no.: CP 3047-233G8
- AP 4-piston racing brake caliper, part no.: CP 3720
Our realisation / solution:
- Christian ordered via our brake caliper configurator.
- In our brake caliper configurator you will learn how to get your custom-made caliper step by step.
- Based on the entered measurements, a prototype is created with our 3D printer. This saves Christian the money for a CAD drawing
3-D Prototyping
The final prototype is sent to Christian in advance so that he can test whether everything fits perfectly and the brake system fits the VW Ralley Golf 3 GTI 16V. Christian also told us that 1-2 small changes have to be made to the tuning adapter so that everything fits 100%.
We always work with a 3D model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits.
Production
After Christian's approval, we now machine the brake tuning adapter for the VW Ralley Golf 3 GTI 16V to a precise fit. Afterwards it is driven to the surface refiner.
