Disc brake adapter to convert the T3 BUS to brake discs on the rear axle of the T4.
The holders are made of high-strength steel, completely galvanized.
With these adapters, both T4 brake discs, i.e. both the 280 and the 294 brake discs with T4 brake calipers can be used. When buying the components, you only have to make sure that if you want to install the 280 brake disc, for example, you also use the brake calipers and brake caliper carrier that were originally installed with this brake disc.
Advantages of this brake system:
- The remaining fading on the original brake system is gone.
- Significantly better perfomance than the standard brake system.
- The material certificate included in the scope of delivery enables entry by individual acceptance even for series vehicles
- Quick and easy assembly possible with the supplied screws
The wheel hubs must be turned off for the rear disc or can also be ordered from us.
Required material for installation:
- Brake discs from VW BUS T4 280x12 mm 15 inch VAG: 7D0 615 601
- or for 16 inch 294x13.5 OE numbers: 7D0615601C
- Brake caliper bracket from VW BUS T4 280x12 mm 15 inch VAG:7D0615425B
- oor for 16 inch OE number: 7D0615425A
- Brake calipers from the VW BUS T4 15 inch OE number: 7D0 615 424B
- or for 16 inch OE number: 7D0 615 424A
- Longer studs for the rear axle
- The following brake cable fits without modifications to the vehicle if the sleeve is laid generously at the bottom of the swing arm: Brake cable Golf 2, Jetta 2 1988-1992. Cable 1622 mm/ sheath 1221 mm, vehicles with rear disc brakes (except G60) No.: 191 609 721
Suitable adapters for the front axle are also available from us.
Scope of delivery:
- 2x conversion adapter for VW T3 to T4 brake discs for the rear axle
- Set of matching centering rings
- Complete set of high resistant srews
- Certificate of material
- Copy of the german document 'Fahrzeugschein' (equivalent with the English vehicle registration card). Proves the conformity of our product in Germany and simplifies authorization by authorities.
Tips, information and hints:
- For a better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the dust cover plates and brake anchor plates.
- We can not answer generally, which rim size you can mount after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims.
- In rare cases it is possible that the rims touch minimal the brake caliper, then you can simply use spacers.
>> Now directly to spacers << - Install the adapter with the necessary components and then check if new brake lines are required. Because, depending on the vehicle, the lines may be too short or the line tips may not suitable. We advise you to change to steel braided brake line because of the quality and technical advantage. Specifically for this, we have developed an online brake line configurator, where you can assemble the type of steel braided brake lines you want.
Click here to go to the >> configure steel braided brake lines << - Always use the hand brake cable of the installed brake caliper. So sometimes you have to modify / adapt the new handbrake cable. For conversions, where the original caliper is used and the handbrake cable can be used, you may need to pull the cable without any other fittings (ie directly) to compensate for the long distance due to the large diameter of the large brake discs.

Wegen bevorstehenden Motor umbau mit Leistungssteigerung, muss ich auch Bremsanlage am meinem Bulli entsprechend anpassen. Da ich schon früher vordere Bremsen auf Audi Bremsen mit EPYTEC Adapter umgebaut habe, und damit gute Erfahrung gemacht habe, entschied ich mich wieder auf EPYTEC zurück zugreifen. Bei Produkt Beschreibung sind auch sämtliche Teile mit Teilenummer aufgelistet mit vielen Bilder zum Umbau, was die ganze Sache viel einfache macht Am Anfang war ich etwas skeptisch, vor allem was den Preis betrifft. Aber, wie es heisst: was nichts kostet, ist auch nichts. Qualität hat sein Preis. Endergebnis hat mich überzeugt. Umbau sieht sauber und professionell aus. Eintragung wird mit dem Motor zusammen gemacht, sollte aber wegen beigefügten Materialgutachten kein Problem sein. Wenn jemand gleiche vorhaben hat, kann ich EPYTEC ruhig weiter empfelen.

If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit on the adapter or not run in the middle of the brake disc.
