Upgrade of a Chrysler Imperial Le Baron to a Mercedes AMG brake system

The customer's request / problem:

Our customer Hermann would like to install the following brake system with these components on his Chrysler Imperial Le Baron yoc 73:

Problem:

As you can see in the picture with the steering knuckle, the problem is that the contact surface for the caliper, between the caliper and the steering knuckle is slightly offset. Of course, this had to be taken into account when making the tuning adapters and we therefore milled left and right adapters.

Our realisation / solution:

Our customer Hermann sent us the following technical drawing in order to install the following brake system with Brembo brake calipers from Mercedes AMG on the Chrysler Imperial Le Baron yoc 73. We took the drawing into the CAD programme and created the tuning adapter from Hermann.

You will receive a matching material certificate for every custom-made product.

3-D Prototyping

The final prototype is sent to Hermann in advance so that it can be tested whether everything fits exactly and the brake system fits on the Chrysler Imperial Le Baron yoc 73. As the part was very complicated to print, our printer ran almost a whole day. Hermann told us that 1-2 small changes have to be made to the tuning adapter so that everything fits 100%.

We always work with a 3D model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits.

Production

After approval by Hermann, we now mill the brake tuning adapter for the Chrysler Imperial Le Baron yoc 73 to fit exactly. Afterwards it is driven to the surface refiner.

Installation and Test

The brake tuning adapter returned from the surface tuner and was sent directly to Hermann. He has mounted everything and is now driving a new cool brake system.
