Installation instructions for article 296 VW Golf 2 3 Adapter plates Camber correction
Here you will learn how to install camber correction plates on your VW Golf 2 and VW Golf 3 step by step.With our camber correction plates, you will never again have the problem of tyres that are worn on one side, and you will also have even more grip and power on the road.
You also have the possibility to have a higher cornering speed and an even more awesome look by riding with a negative camber, like in these example pictures.

Here you can see all the parts needed to fit the camber correction plates for the VW Golf 2 and VW Golf 3. In this case, new axle pivots are fitted directly for the conversion to the G60 / 16V brake system:
Here you can see the original axle of the VW Golf 2 and VW Golf 3. Die camber correction plate (click here) and the axle stud (click here) have been placed on top of it so that you can see the change in camber.
These camber plates are 2° negative camber.
To be able to mount the camber plates, the tyre must first be removed, as well as the complete brake system.
Important!!
Detach the brake caliper only from the axle and not from the brake line, so you save bleeding.
On this picture you can see how the camber correction plate for the VW Golf 2 and VW Golf 3 is mounted between the steering knuckle and the axle stud (click here) . The screws are only inserted to fix the picture.
The camber correction plate is screwed on over the axle stud. You can see this in the next picture.
Now you can mount the axle stud (click here)together with the camber correction plate on the axle of the VW Golf 2 and VW Golf 3. The camber correction plate is mounted between the axle mount and the axle stud.
Then you can mount the brake disc again.
Important!!
Tighten all screws with the specified Newton metres, which you can find in the vehicle manual.
You can see the result of the camber correction plate directly on the brake disc. In this example, the rear axle of the VW Golf has a 2° negative camber in order to have an even cooler appearance and higher cornering speed. The result is made clear with a spirit level.
Finally, the brake system and the tyre are mounted again.
