Brake caliper adapter for front axle brake system to fix brake discs typ G60 diameter 280mm in combination with Porsche /Brembo 4 Piston brake calipers with bolt circle 4x100 on the following VW vehicles:
- VW Golf 2 und 3
- VW Passat
- VW Corrado
- VW Jetta
- VW Polo
- Seat Toledo
Required components:
- Brake calipers Porsche 986 Porsche or Porsche 996 part nr.: 986.351.422 + 986.351.421 or oder 996.351.421+ 996.351.422 (written on the caliper) (a successful conversion is only possibile with the before mentioned pieces!!!)
- Brake discs typ Golf 2/3 G60 diameter 280x22mm
Advantages:
- Significantly better perfomance than the standard brake system.
- Furthermore wheel rims size 15" can be driven on some vehicles
- Components come from series production by VW
- The material certificate included in the scope of delivery enables entry by individual acceptance even for series vehicles
- Including complete screw material
Scope of delivery:
- 2x brake caliper adapter completely galvanized (see photo)
- Complete screw set high-strength.
- Certificate of material
- Stress analysis for better registration
Tips, information and hints:
- For a better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the dust cover plates and brake anchor plates.
- We can generally not answer, which rim size you can mount after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims.
- In rare cases it is possible that the rims touch minimal the brake caliper, then you can simply use spacers.
>> Now directly to spacers << - Install the adapter with the necessary components and then check if new brake lines are required. Because, depending on the vehicle, the lines may be too short or the line tips may not suitable. We advise you to change to steel braided brake line because of the quality and technical advantage. No, unfortunately that is not possible. The reason is simply: all brake calipers have different heights and depths. If another brake disc is installed, the brake caliper would either not fit on the adapter or not run in the middle of the brake disc. But if you want to install a different brake caliper, we also have an option for you.
