It is important that when installing the new drive shaft, no excess pressure is created in the sleeve. In our installation instructions you can see how to prevent this (click here).
With the installation of our drive shaft, you avoid many modifications and you save time.
Important!! Our short and thin drive shaft is only suitable if the dimension from the wheel center to the original fender edge is 31.5cm or smaller. If this distance is higher, the shaft is too short for your vehicle.

The driveshaft as some play in it like a little bit but i'm a little bit afraid of this, compared to my meyle driveshaft it seems to be of in quality, but for now it drive ok.

Habe die Antriebswelle für meinen Golf 4 1,8t bestellt. Zur Sicherheit sind von Eoytec nochmal diverse Daten erfragt worden. Durch ein Kommunikationsproblem habe ich dann leider doch die Falsche Welle bzw. eine Welle mit Falschem Gelenk bekommen. Zu meinem Bedauern wurde vom Epytec Service lediglich gesagt ich solle doch das Gelenk der alten Welle auf die neue Welle adaptieren. Diese Aussage ist für mich ein totales NO GO. Ich bestelle doch extra eine neue Welle um auch diese komplett neu einzubauen. Jetzt fahre ich mit einer halb alt halb neu- Welle rum, wie gemischtes Hack beim Fleischer. Finde ich sehr Schade. Sorry Epytec, habe schon oft eure Produkte verwendet, wenn auch gebraucht und war immer zufrieden. Aber Kundenservice geht besser.

- What exactly is the point of having a shorter driveshaft?
As a result of lowering, the axle geometry changes and the shaft presses against the wheel bearing, exposing it to high levels of wear and, in the worst case, destroying it. It is therefore imperative to depressurize the component. This is done by shortening the trees.
- Do reinforced driveshafts also have reinforced ball joints ?
The wheel-side ball joints are also reinforced, but the inner ball joints are like the standard ball joints.
- Why are two bags of grease included in the delivery?
The grease is included in the scope of delivery so that it can be regreased or if the gearbox flange is open at the rear. In this case, grease must still be applied there. If the shaft is supplied completely closed, no grease is required, as this has already been done.
- Why are no shims (OE: 1K0407357D) for the mounting supplied as they are original?
We do not supply the shims, as we install the latest version of the bellows. With these, the shims are no longer required.
