You have problems with your Audi RS3 brake discs?
Then you are not alone, many Audi RS3 drivers tell us about serious brake problems with their Audi RS3.
Here you can find out how to get a grip on it. Again and again Audi RS3 drivers tell us about brake problems with their Audi RS3, including our customer and friend Mathias alias "Samba".
He has been an Audi RS3 driver for ages, currently driving the A3 Sportback 8va, vf 2015 RS3 with 367 hp with the original RS3 brake discs and pads.
His original brake discs looked like shit after a few kilometres:
As you can see in the pictures there are rust and discolouration marks everywhere. Furthermore, there is a noticeable flickering of the brakes, which is an absolute no-go.
Since you have landed here on our blog, I think you will feel the same way. For comparison, here is another picture from an RS3 forum, in which you can see a disc from a well-known sports disc manufacturer:
There are hairline cracks and rust all over the disc. And this after only 2 months of use. As you can see, even well-known sports disc manufacturers have problems with the quality of RS3 brake discs. We have the perfect solution for you and this problem. EBC has shown itself to be the right manufacturer to have the matching discs for this.
These are the Turbo Groove Disc Black:
- these are specially grooved and slotted sports brake discs
- Slots right up to the disc edge ensure that dirt, wetness and brake gases are drained off
- additional cooling for the brake system
- corrosion-resistant black coating
- precisely produced and balanced
- the optimal solution for fast road car
- increasing pad force at higher loads (progressive braking behaviour)
- best braking power even when the brakes are cold
- very comfortable on the brake discs with best deceleration values
- no aggressive black brake dust that sticks to the rims
- unique Brake-In™ coating for optimum brake application
- with resistant, baked-on high gloss coating
- for road, rally and racing use
- with integrated wear warning contact
This gives you the option of fitting the brake lines according to your wishes when setting up your vehicle. The steel braided lines not only have a better look, but also have no pressure loss due to the steel coating. This makes it much easier to control the pressure point when braking
Advantages against original brake lines:
- no pressure loss when applying the brakes, precise pressure point
- no swelling as with rubber lines
- cost savings, as steel braided lines have an almost unlimited lifetime and do not have to be replaced every 3-5 years
- shorter braking distance
- Mard protection
- parts certificate included
- great look
"Samba" also replaced them when he changed the discs, as you can see in the next picture:
In summary, "Samba" is very satisfied with his conversion and happy that he no longer has the problem with the RS3 brake discs. If you also want to be happy like "Samba", then I have something for you here:
