Mercedes Benz W203 complete tuning conversion to ceramic brake discs and Alfa Romeo brake calipers (100598)

The customer wish / problem:

Our customer Paul would like to install the following brake system with these components on his Mercedes Benz W203 front and rear axle:

Front axle

390x36mm ceramic brake disc
Alfa Romeo Brembo brake calipers: 20a.30706

Rear axle

356x28mm ceramic brake disc
Alfa Romeo Brembo brake calipers: 20C33403

On the rear axle additional individual brake pots have to be made, because the brake pot has to be deeper, so that the handbrake of the Mercedes Benz W203 is still functional.

Our realisation / solution:

Our customer Paul sent us his front and rear axle including all ceramic brake discs and Alfa Romeo brake calipers. We plugged the components together once to determine the required tuning adapters for his brake system.

3-D Prototyping

The final 3-D prototype is tested directly in our workshop to see if it fits.

We always work with a 3D-model in advance, because it always happens that certain dimensions and conditions cannot be taken on the tuning adapter in advance. With the 3D model, we can be sure that everything fits.

Test on the front axle of the Mercedes Benz W203 with the Alfa Romeo brake system and the 390x36mm ceramic brake disc.

Test on the rear axle of the Mercedes Benz W203 with the Alfa Romeo brake system and the 356x28mm ceramic brake disc including brake disc pot.

Production

After approval from Paul, we now machine the brake caliper tuning adapter for the Mercedes Benz W203 exactly. Then it's taken to the surface refiner.

Installation and Test

The brake caliper tuning adapters have now arrived from the surface tuner and we were able to test fit everything and deliver Paul a great brake conversion for his front and rear axle.
