Lightened high-strength flywheel made of chrome molybdenum

Suitable for all following engines with 200mm clutch:

  • 1,4l, 1,6l 16V build in VW Polo, VW Caddy 2, VW Caddy 2, Seat Arosa, Seat Cordoba, Seat Ibiza

Suitable for all following gearboxes:

  • 5-speed gearbox (the flywheel article 769 is suitable for 6-speed gearbox)

Thanks to additional drillings, now only 3,8 kg with the same quality!

Below in the suitable accessories you will find the Sachs Performance clutch pressure plate you need. You can also choose between the matching organic or racing Sachs Performance clutch disc.

Hallo Danke für die schwungscheibe ,sie ist sehr pass genau gearbeitet, hochwertig im Material somit entsteht der gesamte Eindruck 100% Freude am Bauteil. Der Versand und die ganze Geschäftsentwicklung waren für mich sehr 👍 gut . Somit kann mein neuer Renn Motor seine Arbeit in der neuen Saison erledigen und ich meinen Spaß damit haben. Alles gute für euch im Team, bleibt so zuverlässig wie ihr seid,der Rest wird dann ein selbstläufer... Man unterhält sich ja auch im Fahrer Lager... Mfg Steffen Pohle

Als Erstes muss ich sagen, Epytec schaut auf seine Kunden! Ich hab so viele mails bekommen ob ich hilfe beim einbau haben will, ob eh alles passt usw! Das Produkt wurde auch Konserviert geliefert, WAS NICHT SELBSTVERSTÄNDLICH IST! Das Produkt kamm auch rasch an! auch bei genaueren Ansehen Sind mir KEINE Kraten oder Metalrückstände aufgefallen! es wurde auch sehr gut gewuchtet! Gewicht hat auch gestimmt, und Preislich hab ich mir nicht SO EINE GUTE QUALITÄT ERWARTET! ich bin sehr zufrieden mit Servis/Produkt/Lieferung! Weiter so! wenn ich wieder was Brauchen sollt! werd ich bei Epytec bestelln!

Warte auf das Ergebnis da ich erst im April mein erstes Autoslalom Rennen hab. Sonst alles ok!

  • Which screws can be used?

  • The original bolts can be reinstalled.

  • Which clutch can be used with the Epytec flywheels?

  • You can continue to use the original clutch or an identical Sport / Performance clutch. Please check with the clutch manufacturer whether these are of the same design as the originals. If this is the case, then it will also fit 100%

  • What is the friction coefficient of the flywheel?

  • In principle, the friction coefficient can be assumed to be at least the same as that of the original cast disc. Due to the higher alloyed steel, our pulleys are slightly better than the original cast pulley. Of course, the material of the friction disk also has a major influence here; this must be checked with the manufacturer of the friction disk

  • What material are the flywheels made of?

  • The flywheel is made of 16MnCr (chromium molybdenum) steel, which means it has a density of 7.76 kg/dm³

  • Does the flywheel have a TDC marking and other markings for the ignition?

  • The flywheel has no TDC marking, only the pin on the back, just like the original flywheel. Tip: To adopt the TDC marking, the original flywheel must be turned to the TDC point before disassembly and the new flywheel must be marked in exactly this position.

  • Does the flywheel have the default unbalance or is it balanced to zero?

  • The flywheel is supplied with the default unbalance. Unbalance can be created as follows! We first balance the pulley to 0, then apply a test mass at the specified point, which corresponds exactly to the unbalance. The pulley is then balanced to 0 again with the test mass. If you now remove the test mass, you have exactly the specified unbalance.

  • Do we only sell the ring gear / gearwheel of the flywheels?

  • No, we can only sell the flywheels complete.

  • Why do I have to run in my clutch?

  • The principle of a clutch is similar to that of a brake system. The different materials / surfaces must first adapt to each other. This happens through friction. With standard clutches or organic linings, this happens relatively quickly, as the lining material is "softer" than with sintered metal linings.
