If you want to convert your T3 bus to TDI, you should take over the Golf MK3 original starter, as it has much more power and a better transmission.
- original T3 Bus starter:
- 1,7KW and 9 cogs at the sprocket
- Golf MK3 starter:
- 2,0KW and 10 cogs at the sprocket

The TDI conversion on my T3 Doka had the original T3 starter; It wasn't working well and always made screeching noises as the engine started. Ordered this adapter & bought a refurbished Golf TDI starter motor and fitted them (which is easy to do, & as it says in the instructions, even easier with the new starter as it's smaller) and it's made a big difference to the starting of the engine; quick & quiet! Quality conversion parts from Epytec, as usual!
